THE SERVICE NEED
The challenge
The arrival process is the first step in an outpatient visit. Patients need a clear way to check in for the service they have come to attend.
The QRight solution
Royal Hobart Hospital uses QRight for outpatient patient check-in. The K Block Admissions installation shown here also provides a branded self-service kiosk with choices for hospital admission, updating admission information, general admission enquiries and waiting-list queries. A ticket display directs waiting patients to the called service window.
The customer journey
In the admissions example, patients select the reason for their visit at the kiosk. The waiting-area display shows the called ticket and service window, with previously called tickets visible below. Patients with other enquiries are directed to reception by the on-screen guidance.
What changed
The installation brings service selection and ticket calling into a clear admissions arrival process, alongside the hospital’s patient check-in use.
